Inspiration at the crossroads of central Europe.

This is a relatively new story for us that began in a land over 5,000 miles away from our native city of Milwaukee, WI. While vacationing in Croatia, located at the crossroads of central Europe and the Mediterranean, we had the pleasure of visiting a diverse and pristine watershed known as the Korana River.

The Korana River is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world with the cleanest water in the world. While admiring such a clean and peaceful place we were truly inspired, and this is where it all started. We had made a decision to live as pure a lifestyle as possible.

On the flight home we discussed and shared ideas about the aspects of our lifestyles that needed to change. We were truly moved to action. We were already conscious of the food we consumed. Going so far as to make sure it was natural and free of chemicals and pesticides. We quickly realized, while this was a start…there were many other things we could do to improve our lifestyles. It was on that flight we decided to focus on personal body products.

The skin is the largest organ on the human body and we quickly realized we did very little to protect it. We than immediately began to question the integrity, quality, and ingredients of all the personal products that we used daily, specifically soap.

Soap is one of the most used products on the skin, followed closely by moisturizer and make-up. After researching and investigating what were in the soaps that we used on an everyday basis we were not only shocked but also a little disgusted.

Why would an industry that is based on personal beauty and wellness use toxic chemicals in every one of their products?

Why would they also promote these products for everyday use to people all across the world?

They know what the chemicals in their products do to humans, so why must they sell these items to their family and friends?

Has this industry been so de-sensitized by the modern world and their over-usage of chemicals and have they forgotten about their possible side effects?

This, my friends, was the inspiration for Korana Soap Works. Unlike our competitors, we have taken a different approach to the soap making process. Our commitment is to be free of any chemicals, artificial colorants, scents, fixed oils, and polluted water.
